Milan Considering Swoop For Juventus’ David Trezeguet - Report
Adriano Galliani has spoken to Juventus officials to discuss the current status of the Frenchman...
The Frenchman had been a target of the Rossoneri many years ago when he moved to Juventus, and it now seems he is back on their radar following his exemplary start to pre-season.
As Milan search for a strong centre-forward capable of threatening in the air, Juve are still a little short at the back as they look for another defender. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a solution could be a possible exchange deal with Trezeguet and Massimo Oddo swapping shirts for the coming season.
With the former Lazio full-back out of favour at the San Siro, he would surely welcome a move to a side that can give him more guarantees in a season leading up to the 2010 World Cup. After having already turned down Panathinaikos, Oddo would welcome interest from another Italian club.
As the idea of an exchange begins to be considered, Milan look set to wait for the conclusion of their move for Luis Fabiano. Should this - like their previous bid for Edin Dzeko - prove unsuccessful, it is more than likely the Rossoneri will look to plan C, as the start of the season draws ever closer.
