USA Welcomes Italian Champions Inter

Jose Mourinho’s Inter arrived yesterday in the USA to start their preparation for the Italian Super Cup final on August 8.

With the bulk of the squad making the long-haul flight from Milan to Los Angeles, a small contingent of players - including Nicolas Burdisso, Ivan Cordoba, Amantino Mancini, Maxwell and Walter Samuel - made their own way given their proximity to the US from their respective countries.

The Nerazzurri were immediately welcomed by a group of fans who saved the warmest applause for coach Mourinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marco Materazzi.

Following their evening meal, the side underwent its first official staff meeting to discuss Monday’s return to the training field. The squad will begin training at the UCLA campus on Monday morning.

With the session open to the press and fans, it looks like Mourinho is starting to ease up a little in comparison to his closed-door policy last term.
