The Argentine striker made waves at the Marassi last season, netting 26 goals in all competitions, and is expected to form a lethal partnership in attack with Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who seems to have shelved his plans to leave the club.
“Am I happy that ‘Ibra’ stayed put? Very much. It will be an honour for me to play next to him as he is the best player in the world,” Milito enthused on Telelombardia.
“I am happy to be part of the Inter group, I can’t wait to get started. Having joined Inter fills me with pride. I’ll do anything to repay the faith of the Nerazzurri officials and to please the fans and the technical staff.”
Jose Mourinho’s men will gather at Appiano Gentile today for the first pre-season training session, which will take place this afternoon. They leave for California on Sunday.
