The Brazilian, who has an Italian passport and could play for La Nazionale, begins his work tomorrow when Inter meet for pre-season at Appiano Gentile before they head off for their tour of the USA.
Motta is keen on starting soon and he is looking forward to playing with 'Ibra'.
"I am sure he will stay. I can't wait to play with Zlatan. He is one who makes a difference," Motta told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"We have to work hard and cement this group together. In the end what counts are the results on the pitch."
Motta has been linked with a call-up to the Italian national side for next year's World Cup. The midfielder would love to play for the Azzurri, but he is well aware that it's down to Marcello Lippi.
"Would I like to play for Italy? Of course, but I have never spoken to Lippi. However, if I had the chance I would love to put on the Azzurri shirt," concluded Motta.
