Juventus Will Play Like Barcelona Next Season - Tactics Coach

One of Italy's master tacticians says some spectacular football will be on show in Turin next term...

Italian FA tactical coach Franco Ferrari believes Juventus will play just like Barcelona next season, giving Bianconeri fans a chance to dream.

Ferrari teaches tactics to coaches studying for their professional coaching badges at Coverciano. The former Genoa player also teaches UEFA courses and he is a recognised FIFA instructor. Juve coach Ciro Ferrara was one of Ferrari's former students and the Juve boss' mentor insists that fantasy football will be the order of the day for the Old Lady next term.

"There will be plenty of possession. Short passes, making the ball work and waiting for an opening to hurt the opponent. Juve's style will be like the Spanish national side, Barcelona, or how Milan played under [Carlo] Ancelotti," Ferrari told Tuttosport.

With a tactical re-think underway, the coaching mastermind feels older players like Alessandro Del Piero will have to adapt and improve.

"Del Piero will surely need to modify his game, as he is used to playing behind a striker. If he doesn't, he could end up stepping on Diego's feet," added Ferrari.

It promises to be an exciting season at Juve.
