If Marcello Lippi Calls Me I Will Return To Play For Italy - Francesco Totti
The Italian legend would welcome a return to the Azzurri if Lippi makes the call...
Totti has already pledged his allegiance to Roma by claiming he will sign an extension until 2014. He is now ready to resurrect his marriage with the Azzurri after an unexpected divorce following the World Cup 2006 conquest.
"Lippi is a person who has taught me plenty, not only in terms of football, but on a human level," Totti told journalists during a press conference as reported by La Repubblica.
"If Lippi was to call me for La Nazionale I would speak with him about the situation. I could come back if he was to call me, but it would depend on how I felt during the season."
Lippi did claim that changes would be made to the Italy squad following the Confederations Cup failures, but he has not spoken about a possible Totti return just yet.
