Arnautovic Will Train With Inter But Remain Our Player - Twente President
Twente president Joop Munsterman talked about the situation of striker Marko Arnautovic.
Ahead of the start of the summer preparation period next week, Inter are continuing to work incessantly on the transfer market. The transfer objectives haven't changed: Twente striker Marko Arnautovic, and Chelsea stars Deco and Ricardo Carvalho.
Players likely to leave are Patrick Vieira, Amantino Mancini, Victor Obinna, and one of Nicolas Burdisso and Nelson Rivas, in case Carvalho does arrive. Meanwhile, the situation of striker David Suazo, who spent last season on loan at Benfica, is more uncertain.
Concerning Arnautovic, his club Twente's president Joop Munsterman talked about the situation to Calciomercato.com.
"Yesterday we have reached an agreement with Inter's managers: Marko will go to Milan to be cured for 4-5 weeks," he said, "but he won't leave for America with [Jose] Mourinho's team and in August we will evaluate the situation. He will remain our player, however. This means that if Inter won't buy him, he will return to us and we'll be happy about that because he's a great striker.
"If we get an offer from another club? We'll sell him because it's our right. He belongs to us and Inter didn't want to buy him. We could not accept a simple loan deal with a payment subordinated to his return on the pitch, while they didn't want to pay much for a loan. Subsequently we came up with this solution."
