"This explains a lot for me," Cairo said, as reported by ToroNews.com.
Moggi inevitably responded to this allegation to Libero, saying "I could easily work as a consultant for any president, but it's not my desire, I don't want to be a problem to anyone...
"I cannot say the same about someone who has taken advantage of the situation for his own sporting failure. Who could have reacted if not Cairo, the Torino president who doesn't know anything about football, and in any case less than any of his colleagues.
"I can answer him by saying that I have always built strong teams in my career without needing anyone or anything. He hasn't, so perhaps it means that what he is accusing me of is something he was forced to do himself. For now that's all I have to say, but only for now!"
Last season Torino and Bologna battled against relegation until the end, the Emiliani securing their survival only on the final matchday.
