With Kaka having left Milan for Real Madrid following six years with the Rossoneri, Ronaldinho will probably get more playing time than he did last season.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has suggested that the 2005 Ballon d'Or winner will be the team's star player now, after repeatedly expressing his disappointment when coach Carlo Ancelotti left the Brazilian star on the bench last term.

However, Ronaldinho himself doesn't think his role at the club will change after his compatriot's departure.

"Kaka's departure doesn't concern me directly," he said to Il Corriere dello Sport. "He is no longer with us, but my responsibilities don't change."

Ahead of his second season with Milan, the 29-year-old announced, "My objective is to win with Milan. We want to win the Champions League. If I have a great season, I will also earn back my place in the Selecao and be a protagonist at the World Cup."

In his first season with the Rossoneri, Ronaldinho started well enough, scoring eight Serie A goals in the early stage of the season, but after a while Ancelotti no longer found a place for him in the team.
