Speaking to La Gazzetta Dello Sport in his first full interview since his transfer from Genoa, ‘El Principe’ didn’t hide any of his ambitions, proclaiming the Nerazzurri’s potential is limitless for the coming season.
“This team has everything it needs to win the Champions League,” Milito announced. “We must take note of what Barcelona did last year and try to win the whole lot. We are by no means inferior to them [Barca], and for this reason I have every faith in the potential of the squad.”
With much talk over whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic will still be around to partner Milito in the front line next season, ‘The Prince’ was full of confidence that he can strike a winning formula with the towering Swede.
“There won’t be any problems with Zlatan, quite the opposite in fact. I am looking forward to helping him top the scorers' charts for a second consecutive season,” he enthused.
