Palermo Not Interested In Inter’s Nelson Rivas – Maurizio Zamparini
The fiery president has ruled out any possibility of seeing the Inter defender donning the Rosanero shirt next season...
With Nelson Rivas seemingly out of Jose Mourinho’s Inter plans for the coming season, it seems a potential future in Sicily is also looking unlikely following the recent words of Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini.
Speaking to mediterraneonline.it, the fiery patron claimed the constant rumour mill is simply a clever tactic for players’ agents to increase the eventual value of a proposed transfer.
“Is Rivas close to Palermo?” Zamparini asked ironically. “This is just another example of the rumours floating around. Such talk is created by the agent who wants to drive Rivas’ price up. He has been linked with Palermo, but we aren’t interested.”
Despite the recent rejection from Palermo, the Inter stopper is also reported to be on Lazio’s radar as the capital club look to shore up their shaky back line.
