Chelsea Boss Ancelotti Still Tracking AC Milan Midfielder Pirlo - Report
Rumours still suggest a move to the Premier League for the deep-lying playmaker...
The future of Andrea Pirlo continues to be drawn into doubt as talk of a potential move from Milan to Chelsea refuses to be silenced.
The midfielder himself has recently claimed he 'is a Milan player,' but British newspaper The Sun believes it is only a matter of time before he moves to Stamford Bridge. In contrast, Rossoneri president Silvio Berlusconi has admitted that it's possible the player will be sold.
Pirlo was a favourite of Carlo Ancelotti at Milan, who took over as coach of the Blues this summer and their mutual admiration could see them link up again.
Ancelotti considers the unique play of the 30-year-old a valuable asset and is willing to spend a fair amount to secure his signature.
The former Brescia star recently took part in Italy's ill-fated Confederations Cup campaign in South Africa, where the Azzurri were eliminated in the group stages. He has been with Milan since 2001.
