Robert Acquafresca: I Will Prove Inter Wrong
The 21-year-old is keen to show the Nerazzurri they made a mistake by letting him go...
Robert Acquafresca has confirmed he will be on-loan at Atalanta next season from Genoa and is happy to have found a team that believe in his abilities. The Azzurrini striker had been owned by Inter, but was deemed surplus to requirements at the San Siro.
"Finally after a troubled period, this has come to a conclusion," he said in an interview with Sky.
"This is a choice that had started from last year, there had already been some contact, but for different reasons I was again at Cagliari."
The player is considered a bright prospect for the future, but Inter have given his full rights to Genoa, opting to swap him for the more experienced Diego Milito instead.
"I've been owned by Inter, but always playing elsewhere on loan. I have always gone forward without Inter and I will do it even now," he continued.
"They have taken their decision and I will try to prove them wrong on the field."
