Right-Back Massimo Oddo Wants Milan Stay
The defender admits he enjoyed his experience at Bayern but aims to fight for a place at the San Siro next season.
“I am curious to get to know Leonardo,” Oddo confessed to the Corriere dello Sport.
“I wasn't very compatible with [Carlo] Ancelotti, especially in the last part of my second season at Milan. But I played against Liverpool in Athens [in the 2007 Champions League final] and that was a great joy.”
Ancelotti left for Chelsea this summer and Leonardo will take the reins next Monday, when the Diavoli meet up for the start of their pre-season camp.
“It was a nice experience at Bayern, but in the second part of the season I went through a dip in form because I underestimated an ankle problem,” explained the former Lazio man.
“Now I want to stay at Milan, unless the coach deems me surplus to requirements. I have two more years on my contract with Milan and I intend to honour them.”
