Rolando Bianchi Commits Future To Torino
Despite being offered a big money move from an unnamed Russian club, the loyal striker has opted to help drag the Granata back into the top flight...
Speaking to Tuttosport, in the wake of a reported €3m a-season offer from a top Russian side, Rolando Bianchi has stressed a desire to stay and fight as he looks to aid the Granata’s bid to bounce back from their recent relegation into Serie B.
“I have no intention of playing in Russia, merely to make a quick buck," said the 26-year-old striker.
"I already made a healthy salary playing in England and I am quite happy with my current wage deal.”
After expressing his indifference to a few million Euros, the former Citizen highlighted his real motivation to stay and fight, as he looks to pay back Torino for investing in him last summer.
“I am really committed to putting Torino back where I found them – in Serie A," stated Bianchi.
"The recent relegation really hurts and even I am accountable for the shortcomings of last season. I have no intention of running and I am looking forward to a new challenge, namely to win the Serie B title.”
With many predicting a player overhaul at Torino this summer, the recent comments from Bianchi will certainly give hope for the Granata faithful, as they prepare for a tricky season in Italy’s second tier.
