Napoli Have Not Made An Offer For Fiorentina's Manuel Pasqual - Agent
The sought after Italian defender may be remaining with the Viola after all...
The player's agent, Gastone Rizzato, commented on speculation about his client's future and specifically links with Napoli.
"The will of Fiorentina is to give Pasqual a new contract," he explained in an interview with tuttomercatoweb.
"I have seen [Napoli sporting director Pierpaolo] Marino, but we did not say anything. Before you talk about players moving to another club you should at least know if there is an agreement."
However, he is hopeful that a renewal will be negotiated in the near future.
"I spoke with [Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo] Corvino this morning and found that one club has requested Pasqual. However, the renewal is not a problem of duration, if it were up to me I would do one-year only."
If the Viola cannot come to an agreement on an extension with Pasqual, then the player is likely to be sold as his contract expires in June 2010 and they would lose him for nothing next summer.
Roma and Juventus have also been linked with the former Treviso player.
