However, the Serie A champions are likely to send him out on loan to gain experience and there are suggestions that Genoa and Palermo have shown interest in his services.
“I feel it’s just paper talk and there is nothing concrete,” the 22-year-old shot-stopper told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Of course, Genoa and Palermo are both great clubs and I would be honoured to play for this kind of team. The Rossoblu will play in Europe, while Palermo came close to qualifying for the Champions League last season. I am waiting for news.”
Palermo’s first-choice ‘keeper, Marco Amelia, is being linked with a move away from the Barbera, with Napoli ready to splash out to secure the services of Gianluigi Buffon’s understudy in the Italy national team.
Genoa are instead finding it hard to agree a contract renewal with Rubinho as the Brazilian is reportedly demanding wages of €1million per season.
