Inter President Massimo Moratti Not Optimistic About Signing Cassano & Benzema
The Nerazzurri patron does not give much chance of either player moving to the Milanese giants this summer...
Two of those are Sampdoria playmaker Antonio Cassano and Lyon striker Karim Benzema and club president Massimo Moratti, discussed the potential of both coming to the San Siro, but was not optimistic.
"Are we aiming for Benzema? Only if he does not cost too much," he explained to Il Giornale.
"Cassano? That [story] is too cute, but believe me, Jose [Mourinho] is thinking of a big and powerful player. With Cassano there is nothing occurring, despite being a player that Mourinho likes a lot. A great player."
Benzema has also been strongly linked with Manchester United, who are looking to replace the Real Madrid bound Cristiano Ronaldo. Meanwhile, Cassano is reportedly of interest to a whole host of clubs, including AC Milan, Napoli, and Juventus.
