The young striker has some tough decisions to make as he thinks about his future...Italy Under-21 international Robert Acquafresca has hinted at his desire to join Lazio, however, he is trying to focus on the U-21 European Championship in Sweden, pondering his future in between matches.
The striker has joined Genoa as part of the deal that saw Diego Milito and Thiago Motta head to Inter. It is said the Grifoni's intention is to send Acquafresca out on loan to gain more experience. A number of clubs, including Premier League side Fulham, have shown an interest, but the hitman has set his eyes on a possible move to Lazio.
"I don't really want to reveal my preferences, but either Genoa or Lazio would be a big result in terms of my professional career," Acquafresca told the Daily Star, as reported by Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"Fulham phoned me and I am analysing the offers I have received. I could go abroad.
"At the moment I am focussing on the tournament and I will decide my future in the next few days."
The former Cagliari man has also claimed he could join a team that will not guarantee him regular football.
"I have never said I wanted to join a team that would only offer me a starting role. I just hope to have the same chance as everyone else," concluded the striker.
Although Acquafresca spoke about Lazio, the Roman club have claimed they are not interested in his services.
