Tiago has not settled in at Juventus since moving to Turin in 2007 and looks set to finally leave this summer, after once again failing to make an impact for the Bianconeri.

The Portuguese midfielder does not feature in the plans of new coach Ciro Ferrara and has been offered to Atletico Madrid, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

Atletico Madrid have been interested in the former Chelsea playmaker in the past, but now Bianconeri sporting director Alessio Secco has told the capital club that the player is for sale.

Secco is already in Spain, trying to negotiate the purchases of Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra and Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

Tiago is vastly experienced, having played for Sporting Braga, Benfica, Lyon, as well as the previously mentioned spells at Stamford Bridge and the Stadio Olimpico.
