Lazio Not Interested In Acquafresca Or Emiliano Moretti - Sporting Director
The Aquilotti are not being impulsive on the transfer market this summer...
Inter owned Robert Acquafresca was sent to Genoa as part of the deal for Diego Milito, but is concerned about the competition for places at the club and has been looking for other options. Valencia defender Emiliano Moretti is another player considering a move, but Lazio are apparently not interested in either player.
"Acquafresca represents the future of Italian football, but he is not our objective," he explained to Radio Radio, regarding the Under-21 international.
"The same goes for Moretti, because we already have very good full-backs, even if he could play in the centre. However, we are not interested."
Another man linked with the Biancocelesti is Palermo midfielder Fabio Simplicio, who has not committed his future to the Sicilian club.
"With regards to Simplicio it is just speculation caused by the media," he said, denying yet another incoming transfer.
Acquafresca had an impressive season on-loan at Cagliari, scoring 14 goals in Serie A. Meanwhile, Moretti has been with Los Che since 2004.
