Robert Acquafresca Has Signed For Genoa, But Could Join Lazio - Agent
The striker has penned his new contract with the Grifoni, but his representative won't close the door on a switch to the Aquile.
“I just ratified Robert’s transfer to Genoa, although, in terms of red tape, we will now have to await,” the representative told Telenord.
“We can now evaluate the offers that have come in.”
Genoa are unlikely to keep hold of the 21-year-old after already signing Sergio Floccari from Atalanta and Argentine Hernan Crespo on a Bosman.
Several Serie A clubs have showed interest in Acquafresca in recent weeks, but it has now emerged that Lazio have joined the hunt, as new boss Davide Ballardini would love to reunite with the talented youngster, who worked under him at Cagliari.
“They are a little late, because there are at least eight teams after him,” explained Fabbri.
“Parma and Atalanta are in pole position. However, Lazio are not out of the running, because what’s important is the player’s wish and if he said that he wanted to team up with Ballardini, we could not oppose his decision. He decides his own future.”
