Midfield ace Gaetano D’Agostino has been on the Bianconeri radar for some time now, and it had been hoped that a deal with Udinese could have been struck by now. As it is, his proposed transfer continues to drag on.
Following the recent words of Zebrette general director Sergio Gasperin, it seems both parties are still a long way from reaching an agreement, as the Sicilian’s hopes of a dream switch grow ever more unlikely.
Speaking to Radio Radio, Gasperin explained, “Juve outlined that they preferred to offer an exchange deal and given we agreed on this - it looked as if we were moving in the same direction.
“Unfortunately, we seem to have hit a stumbling block as, following our demands, Juventus started to put us into difficulty on economic terms. The road to an agreement over D’Agostino now looks like an uphill climb.”
With the Turin giants making no secret of their desire to add the talented midfielder to their plans for next season, a failure to complete the switch surely won’t go down well with the Juve faithful.
