Albano Bizzarri: I Am A Lazio Player
The former Real Valladolid custodian is elated to have joined the Biancocelesti...
Goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri has revealed that he has signed with Lazio on a free transfer, after his contract expired with Catania. The deal has been rumoured since April, but the 31-year-old is the first to confirm it.
"I'm very happy to start this new adventure. I'm going to play with Lazio, everything is now signed," he told Piazzadellaliberta.it.
"This season was very important for me, but when I communicated to Catania I would not re-sign with them, I was no longer used."
The Italian media have constantly praised Bizzarri this past season, raking him as one of the top shot stoppers in the peninsula. He made 32 appearances, keeping eight clean sheets in the process.
"To be chosen among so many great goalkeeper's is a source of great pride, being compared with champions and judged as one of the best gives me immense joy," he concluded.
