Beppe Bonetto, the agent of Fiorentina midfielder Franco Semioli, has categorically denied that his client wishes to leave his current club this summer.

Semioli has been linked to a move to Sampdoria, but Bonetto revealed that there has been no contact between the club and the player.

"Franco did well in the final phase of the year," explained the player's agent to ViolaGol. "He is feeling very good in Florence.

"He wants to remain at Fiorentina, but then if the club wants to sell him, we shall talk about it at the right time. He will not ask to be sold.

"Sampdoria? They are a fair club, although there's been no contact with him. I don't exclude the possibility that he spoke with Fiorentina, a club with whom we have other negotiations right now.

"However, Semioli willingly remains at Fiorentina."

The 28-year-old player has made 23 appearances in total for Fiorentina since joining them from Chievo Verona in the summer of 2007, also scoring two goals.
