Paolo De Ceglie Has Only Eyes For Juventus - Agent
The wing-back’s representative insists De Ceglie is not the key to resolving the impasse with Udinese over D’Agostino.
Juventus
have been in talks with Udinese to sign Italy international playmaker Gaetano D’Agostino,
but discussions hit a brick wall yesterday as Claudio Marchisio and Paolo De
Ceglie have reportedly refused to join the Friulans in part-exchange.
“I
have read about the meeting between the clubs, but I personally don’t know
anything,” De Ceglie and Marchisio’s agent Carlo Pallavicino admitted to
UdineseBlog.
“I’ve
read in the papers that it was a no-go. As far as the two players are
concerned, I reiterate that Marchisio in un-transferable and De Ceglie does not
want to leave.”
The
22-year-old wing-back came through the Old Lady youth ranks and after a spell
at Siena returned to Turin last summer.
“He
has always been a juventino, he achieved (qualified for) the Champions League and now would
like to play in the competition,” explained Pallavicino.
“I
don’t think there is room to persuade them both to move there. But no offence to Udinese
who are an important and prestigious side.”
