Free-agent Christian Vieri is on the verge of finally finding a club, according to tuttomercatoweb.
The former Italian international quit Atalanta at the beginning of April, disheartened by the lack of playing time he was receiving and has been searching for a new club ever since.
The striker's preference seems to be playing in Brazil, and after being rejected by both Corinthians and Santos, the 35-year-old is close to an agreement with Atletico Paranaense.
The Brazilian club are willing to offer the veteran an 18-month contract and their vice-president has flown to Milan to meet with the well-traveled player.
Vieri featured for Italy in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, and for the likes of Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, Inter, AC Milan, and Monaco among others during his career thus far.
