Lavezzi Upset With 'Lack Of Respect' From Napoli

The Argentine wizard is seemingly fed up with his personal situation at the club...

Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi has left for his vacation in Argentina earlier than expected and, through his agent, released an open letter to the fans of the club, explaining his sense of dismay.

"I write this letter to the fans I have always been close to and that also demonstrated their affection on Sunday," the statement began, according to Sky Sport 24.

"It's a difficult time and I hope the situation soon becomes clearer for both you and me. The only sure thing is that one day there will be no Lavezzi and no [sporting director Pierpaolo] Marino, but this great city and team will remain.

"Today, I only have to choose between dignity and a lack of respect and from the education I've received I'll undoubtedly choose dignity."

Some are taking Lavezzi's declarations as a 'farewell', but his agent has been keen to stress that is not necessarily the case. Liverpool are said to be tracking the 24-year-old in an effort to bring him to Anfield.
