Three Barcelona fans travelling to Rome for the Champions League final have been arrested by Italian police for carrying weapons.
The men were stopped by police while driving towards the Italian capital and the two vehicles were searched. According to ASCA, police found a number of weapons on board one of the cars including a truncheon and a javelin. Three men were arrested for being in possesion of dangerous objects while another three were cautioned.
Meanwhile, thousands of Blaugrana fans continue to invade the city. The Fontana dei Trevi is a sea of red and blue. One Spanish fan was wearing an Italy shirt with Gennaro Gattuso's name and number on the back having come all the way from Valencia to watch tonight's big game.
"I love Italy's national side," the fan told Goal.com's Italian reporters.
"I like Gattuso a lot."
On the game tonight, the fan continued, "I think it will be 2-2 and then penalties and then who knows?
"Our best players will be Andres Iniesta and Xavi, while United's will be Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
"Man United will attack us."
The atmosphere is full of excitement and expectation, but there have been a number of separate reports regarding scuffles between fans and police. The arrest count so far in total stands at 11 according to Sky Sport Italia.
