Roma Want Coach Luciano Spalletti To Shed Light On His Future – Report
The coach has been issued with an ultimatum from the club, who want to know his intentions...
Roma are demanding answers from coach Luciano Spalletti over what he intends to do with his future, just days after he hinted at a possible exit.
The coach revealed he could leave the club during his post-match press conference on Sunday. Speculation over his Roma days has been rife, with a number of reports linking him to Milan.
According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, club president Rosella Sensi wants answers from the coach, who is set to meet directors to discuss his future during an informal chat later today at Trigoria.
However, the real progress is likely to be made when Sensi meets Spalletti next week for a longer meeting. The chief is likely to try and convince the former Sampdoria coach to stay, but he seems intent on leaving.
"When a player does not want to remain somewhere, it's good to let him go, and the same goes for the coach," Spalletti told La Repubblica after the Milan win.
Should the coach decide to push his exit plans forward, the Lupi will turn to Claudio Ranieri. Roberto Mancini has also been linked with the job, but he recently revealed that he wants to coach outside of Italy.
