Aquilani Thanks Roma President Rosella Sensi For New Contract
The Giallorossi star is pleased he will continue to represent I Lupi in the foreseeable future...
Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani signed a contract extension with the club on Tuesday after months of negotiations. The Rome-born player has given specific thanks to president Rosella Sensi.
"I thank president Sensi for giving me the opportunity to continue a dream in my city with the team that belongs in my heart," he said in an interview with tuttomercatoweb.
"Now, I am going to Amsterdam to continue my rehabilitation, but I will come back soon. I want to give my best for these fans, something I have not been able to do because of my physical problems."
Aquilani has suffered from a number of injuries, most recently to his ankle, limiting him to just 14 Serie A appearances all season. The player has not featured for the Giallorossi since the clash against Arsenal in the Champions League in March.
His new deal will expire in June 2013.
