Inter Midfielder Luis Jimenez Wants Out

The Chilean has been frustrated by his peripheral Nerazzurri role and has admitted he will look for a fresh start in the summer.

Luis Jimenez started only his third game of the season yesterday as Inter slipped to their fourth defeat of the Serie A campaign at the hands of Cagliari and has confessed that he now wants to leave the club.

The Italian champions snapped up half of the 24-year-old’s services from Ternana last summer, however, he has endured a difficult time under new boss Jose Mourinho and insists he cannot stand this situation any longer.

“It was a bad season for me as I was hampered by too many injuries,” Jimenez is quoted as saying on Sportal.it.

The classy attacking midfielder is reportedly a target for several Italian clubs, including Atalanta, Parma and Sampdoria, but Premier League outfit West Ham United are also said to be in the frame.

“I need confidence and I need to play,” added the ex-Lazio man. “I can’t allow myself to go through another season like this. I will ponder my choice carefully.”
