Inter Boss Jose Mourinho Won't Close Door On Real Madrid
Despite rumours that he is set to sign a new deal with the Nerazzurri, the Portuguese insists he is still only 99.99 per cent certain of staying where he is...
Serie A champions Inter lost 2-1 to Cagliari at the Sant'Elia, but all the post-match talk was all about Jose Mourinho's future and his alleged flirt with Real Madrid.
There are whispers that Inter are set to hand the ex-Chelsea man a lavish contract extension, but he reiterated there is still a small chance he will move to the Bernabeu.
"I'm not changing the percentages, it is still 99.99 per cent," he said during a press conference.
"I could have said 99, 95 or even 51. I just meant to say I'm closer to Inter than Real at the moment. 51 per cent is still the majority and this is enough. Then again, we can use all the numbers in the world.
"Whoever will join Real, is a lucky man, because they have approached four of the best coaches in the world and they will not leave their own teams. So Real will have to turn to someone who is out of a job and he will be very fortunate to go to Madrid."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic netted his 23rd goal of the Serie A season, but it was not enough to avoid defeat in Sardinia.
"His goal was important for the Capocannoniere chart," said 'Mou'.
"It's true we have lost too many games over the past few weeks, but four defeats in such a balanced league are okay. The league is a marathon and the team that take more points win."
