Elkann is hoping the Bianconeri's decision to sack Ranieri and replace him with Ferrara pays the right dividends as he demands victorious performances from the new man and his players.
Juve face a tricky away day against Siena on Sunday, but Elkann is backing the side to do what he expects as he takes the recent woes with some humour.
"New Juve coach? Mourinho," Elkann told journalists as reported by AGI.
"I think the most important thing is to return to winning ways. We have faith in the new coach and in the players.
"Ferrara is a good person and he convinces. He has all the qualities to get this team motivated and put them back on the winning track."
Ferrara is set to lead the team onwards until the end of the season where Juventus will decide on whether to keep him on permanently, or bring in another coach. This was confirmed by chief executive Jean-Claude Blanc on Monday.
