Milan defender Philippe Senderos has spoken about his team's injury-affected season, but he admitted that Inter ultimately deserved the Serie A title.

"Our objective is always that of being first in the standings," explained the Arsenal-owned player to Sky. "After that, injuries and lost points are part of the season. You must live up with this.

"This year Inter were the strongest and to win important points, even when they did not play well. This made the difference."

Senderos also spoke about his first year in Italy, saying, "I arrived here a bit injured, not well physically. I had to work on my own at first, then I got injured.

"This was my problem, but we all know it. When I was physically well, I could prove my qualities. I think I can still do well and I'm sure of this."

Milan will need the best of Senderos to hold on to second place in the standings, as they currently sit three points above Juventus and four above Fiorentina with two games remaining.
