Palermo’s Maurizio Zamparini: Six Points For Europe
The Rosanero are just two points behind a European place as they target two wins in these final league games...
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini believes that whoever will manage to win their remaining two games in Serie A, between them and Roma, will make it through to play in Europe.
However, he warned that Udinese can also join the race, as they are just behind them and going through an excellent run of form.
"Whoever between us and Roma will make six points, will reach Europe," declared the Sicilian side's president to Radio Radio.
"If this does not happen, then Udinese could come into the equation. It's always prestigious to play in Europe, even though the statistics say that whoever plays in the UEFA Cup or Champions League then starts feeling it in Serie A
"To play in Europe at a certain level, without feel the pressure, you must be a great club."
With two matches remaining, Palermo are currently in seventh place, two points behind Roma and one point above Udinese in the race for a Europa League spot.
