Juventus Lay Eyes On Bayern Munich Stopper Philipp Lahm - Report
The Bianconeri may continue their German shopping spree as Lahm has attracted attention at Vinovo...
Juventus are looking for a top left-back as they plan for next season, and Bayern Munich's Philipp Lahm has popped up on the hit list, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
The report suggests Cristiano Molinaro's constant injury problems and Paolo De Ceglie's lack of experience are pushing the directors to scour the left-sided market. Although there is talk of an interest in Vinovo, signing the German international will prove difficult for Juve because of his high price-tag.
Bayern Munich are unlikely to let their man, who is considered one of the best left-backs in Europe, go for less than €20 million. Juve are poised to splash out a reported €25m for Diego and another big spend may be difficult, despite Giovanni Cobolli Gigli claiming the club had money to burn after the annual general meeting earlier this week.
In addition, the 25-year-old is contracted to the Allianz Arena until 2012.
The Old Lady are on the verge of signing Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro. Trying to lure Lahm is likely to be seen as a good move as Juve's defence has not been flawless this season.
