Roma coach Luciano Spalletti admits he will put his plans for the future on hold until the end of the season as he prepares to take on Catania this weekend.

The club is trying to focus on finishing the season with a European place, but they have been distracted by reports of takeovers and managerial changes. Spalletti has been linked with a summer exit, but he has revealed he will only talk about his contract in June. For now, the coach is firmly focused on Europe as he takes responsibility for this season's fruitless campaign.

“We still have a uphill task in terms of reaching Europe and it will not be easy as we have Catania, Milan and Torino next,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are thinking about Catania who are trying to finish the season on a high, but I hope to see last week's Roma where we showed good form, reactivity and flowing football.

“I have always been in touch with the directors. I have spoken to Rosella Sensi in the past, and we will again at the end of the season. The club have faith and I like this.”

Spalletti feels that the Giallorossi's failure to reach the Champions League rests on his shoulders.

“The UEFA Cup is an important objective, but I have worked badly especially with the team I have here. I take the responsibility,” concluded the coach.
