Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro's villa has been seized by Italian authorities after investigators found problems with some of the amenities the player has had built.
According to La Repubblica, five people, including Cannavaro, are under investigation by the prosecutor's office in Naples over alleged illegal additions to the building. The judge presiding over the case, Giuseppe Noviello, has ordered the complete seizure of the building after a number of irregularities were found with regards to the villa.
It is alleged that the swimming pool, a wall and some fences were built with deviation from legal regulations.
Meanwhile, Cannavaro has been strongly linked with a return to Italy and former club Juventus. The Italian left the Bianconeri for Real Madrid in 2006 after the Calciopoli scandal.
Juve are expected to announce the move soon.
