Miccoli Close To Palermo Contract Extension - Agent
Fabrizio Miccoli is close to extending his contract with Palermo and is not considering a move elsewhere, revealed his agent.
"What I can say is that an agreement has been reached," he said to Mediagol.it, "but we need to have a bit of patience. The negotiations are continuing, soon we could put an end to this issue.
"I've already said we are focused on the contract extension, we are not thinking about other solutions, everything that's being said is just rumours."
The 29-year-old is a former Italian international and was once one of the most promising young players in Italy. In 2003 he earned a move to Juventus, where he lasted just one season before being loaned out to Fiorentina, Benfica, and in 2007 he joined Palermo.
This season he has scored a respectable 11 goals, just one short of his personal record in a single Serie A season, which he achieved in his one season at Fiorentina.
