Milan's Zeljko Kalac Thrilled By Season Debut
Kalac made his season debut for the Rossoneri against Juventus last night in a game which ended 1-1 and allowed him to taste competitive football once again after a long absence.
Milan goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac enjoyed his comeback in Serie A as he helped his side obtain a precious point against Juventus at San Siro in a 1-1 draw which allows them to remain in the driver's seat with regard to second place in the standings.
With Christian Abbiati and Nelson Dida injured, it was Kalac's turn to defend the Rossoneri's goal on Sunday evening and in the end he was happy to give his contribution for his team's cause.
"It was nice to come back on the pitch in a special and important match like this," declared the Australian player to Milan Channel.
"It was a tough match, we knew Juventus are a very physical team, they have tall players and they took advantage of that by closing down all space. The draw, in any case, was right.
"We are still in second place and we still have three games in which we will have to get maximum points to qualify for next season's Champions League."
Milan's advantage over Juventus remained unchanged as they currently have 71 points from 35 games played, four points more than the Bianconeri and still seven points adrift of Inter.
