Inter Midfielder Sulley Muntari Wary Of Chievo Threat

The Ghanaian says his team must win in Verona this afternoon, but warns that the Clivensi will be no push-overs...

Sulleyed: Internazionale new boy SUlley Muntari did his reputation no favours, as he saw red for a light slap on an opponent in Inter's win over Catania.

Inter pay a visit to relegation-haunted Chievo Verona today and Jose Mourinho will be able to call upon midfielder Sulley Muntari, who resumed training yesterday after an injury scare.

Muntari’s presence is a big boost for the Serie A leaders, who have never lost this term with the ex-Potsmouth man on the field and they could be crowned champions tonight, if they win in at the Bentegodi and Juventus defeat Milan.

“It all depends on us,” Muntari admitted to the Inter Channel.

“If we don’t want our forthcoming games to become a problem, we have to choose the right path. That is winning in Verona and avoid waiting on other teams’ slip-ups.”

Chievo are still embroiled in the relegation dog-fight, but gave the Nerazzurri a big scare last December as they fought back from 2-0 down at San Siro, before eventually surrendering to a late brace from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“We will have to pay attention, as they are a good team,” noted the Ghanaian international.

“Their position in the table is not doing them justice and they have been very unlucky this term.”
