Inter President Massimo Moratti Confirms Zlatan Ibrahimovic Stay
The chief insists his star player will remain at the club, fighting off suggestions that the Swede could leave...
Inter president Massimo Moratti has clarified the confusion over Zlatan Ibrahimovic's future with a short and sharp answer. The Nerazzurri hitman has been linked with a summer move from the San Siro ever since he claimed he wanted to try a new adventure during an interview he gave last month. Since then, his agent, Mino Raiola, has denied that his client will leave. Nevertheless, it didn't stop the Italian press from claiming Inter would accept a €70 million bid.
However, as he tried to evade the waiting press pack outside the Lega Calcio offices, Moratti returned to speak about his star man, albeit with just a few snippets of information.
"Ibrahimovic has already been confirmed [as an Inter player for next season]," Moratti told La Repubblica as he made a quick getaway after a meeting.
Real Madrid have previously been linked with the prolific striker, however, he is unlikely to leave this season unless Moratti gives him the say so – something that now seems unlikely.
