Luciano Spalletti Is Staying At Roma - Bruno Conti

The coach is staying as far as Conti is concerned...

CL: Luciano Spalletti, Arsenal v Roma (PA)
Roma sporting director Bruno Conti is fighting off the rumours linking coach Luciano Spalletti with a move elsewhere, insisting the Italian is staying in Rome.

The Italian press have been speculating all week over the coach’s future. He has been linked with Milan and Juventus following the Giallorossi's draw with Chievo Verona.

Although the papers are convinced of a split between club and coach, Conti believes his man will be staying at the Olimpico, despite the downturn.

"Spalletti will be Roma's coach next season. I can't see a problem," Conti told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

"He has a contract of two years and, to be honest, I don't even want to think about bringing in an alternative coach.

"We are totally focussed on the season’s run in as we want to qualify with a European place."
