Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf is very satisfied with his team’s current form, but he believes that things could have gone even better if they had not suffered so many injuries throughout the season.

The Rossoneri are in second place, seven points away from Inter and four points above Juventus in a season which has seen them reach their top form in these final weeks.

“On the pitch we saw a great Milan side, concentrated from the start,” the Dutch player told Milan Channel following the 2-0 win at Catania over the weekend.

“We played a good game with the ball on the ground, quick, not allowing any possibility to Catania to counterattack, and we scored in the best moments.

“However, our season must not be judged only from these last games, but overall. We paid for some important missing players for long periods and from this point of view we were not able to have continuity.

“The season is not over, we must return to the Champions League, for the rest we will see.

“Personally I score fewer goals because I returned to play more as a midfielder, going round the pitch and this does not help me to score. However, I hope to still score a couple more goals from now until the end of the season.”

Seedorf has scored five goals overall this season from 29 games played in Serie A.
