Three Deserved Points For Inter - Esteban Cambiasso
The Nerazzurri obtained three fundamental points in their charge towards the league title as they defeated Lazio 2-0 at San Siro on Saturday evening...
Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso admitted that his team had a poor first half against Lazio but said that, after a long talk between the entire team in the dressing room, they came out more determined in the second half.
This prompted a 2-0 for the Nerazzurri and allowed them to take another important step forwards towards the Scudetto.
"We spoke for a long time in the dressing room, as we knew that this game was important, and seeing that some things were not going well made us feel nervous," explained the midfielder to Sky.
"Luckily, then we obtained three deserved points. If before we needed nine points for the Scudetto, now there are only six points left, therefore if we win in Verona it is possible that we celebrate at home against Siena."
Cambiasso also commented on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's gesture, which he attributed to nervousness.
"There is a lot of will to win this league title and, after the first half, we were all a bit disappointed," he continued.
"If you saw Ibra do that gesture it is because he was very nervous for the result, but he's now very happy about this result, just like us and the fans."
The victory over Lazio means that Inter's lead at the top of the Serie A table is now ten points.
