Galliani Cools Talk Of Adebayor Moving To Milan
The Rossoneri transfer guru excluded the eventual arrival of Arsenal's Togolese hitman despite expressing their close friendship...
Despite all the transfer talk linking the Arsenal forward to a future in Rossonero, it now seems less likely following Adriano Galliani’s declarations to the MilanChannel.
“Adebayor is a player that we have known for quite some time," he began.
"He is a great guy, intelligent on and off the field. We speak on the phone from time to time.
"He is also aware that we are looking for a player with his characteristics, but I doubt very much that he will leave London. Adebayor will stay at Arsenal,” said the Milan vice-president, in what sounded like an admittance of defeat in his pursuit of the striker.
Given that Arsene Wenger is believed to be eyeing up Roque Santa Cruz as a possible replacement for the Togolese hitman, it looks likely that Galliani may be playing mind games, as he continues to court the Arsenal forward.
