Cagliari defender Davide Astori is the subject of a co-ownership deal between his current club and Milan that is now coming to an end, and therefore he is already thinking about his future.
Astori has played some quality matches with the Rossoblu, even though he has only made seven appearances for his side this season.
"Cagliari is a city which allows you to work calmly and always supports you," declared the young player to the Corriere dello Sport.
"It was a nice experience, I played few games, but all good, and now we shall see about the future. I would gladly remain here, but if I receive a call from Milan it would be great."
Coach Massimiliano Allegri has nicknamed him 'the German' because of his precision and consistency during training sessions.
"It pleases me that the coach called me so, it's a compliment," admitted Astori.
"He has always spoken well about me and I hope to be able to repay him on the pitch."
Cagliari will be hoping to end the season positively as they are currently fighting for a Europa League spot, tied in seventh place with Palermo, with 49 points from 33 games played, three points behind Roma.
