Jose Mourinho Surprises Everyone With His Comments – Milan’s Gennaro Gattuso
The midfielder has defended his side from their bitter cross-town rivals...
Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has hit back at Jose Mourinho's penalty jibes, but admits that Inter deserve the Scudetto.
The Italian is still recovering from the knee injury he sustained earlier this season. As always, the Calabria-born star has jumped in to defend his side from Mourinho after the Portuguese coach claimed Milan were awarded unfair penalties this season.
"I consider Mourinho to be a great coach, very intelligent, but every now and then he surprises everyone with his comments," Gattuso told L'Era Glaciale.
"I think the penalty argument is pointless. If Milan have had 12 penalties, it means that all of them were right. All the talk is about having faith in referees."
Despite the war of words regarding penalties and dubious goals, Gattuso recognises that the Nerazzurri deserve to win the title.
“Inter have been on top for the whole season and they are still there,” he said. “Therefore they deserve the Scudetto.”
