Sportmediaset.it reports how Catania attacker Vito Falconieri expressed his joy for being given the opportunity to debut for his side on Sunday, in the 2-1 loss to Lecce.

Falconieri is now hoping to play against Milan as the Rossazzurri host the Italian giants this weekend in matchday 34.

"From Saturday, when the coach told me that I was amongst the called-up players, I immediately thought that it was the most important day of my life, but I did not know that I would go on the pitch, because after [Alessandro] Potenza's injury, I thought that the coach would send in a defender," declared the young Etnei's player.

"As soon as I went in, it took me two or three minutes to recover from the excitement. After the game ended, I celebrated the debut with my parents.

"Now I hope that the coach gives me the opportunity to play against Milan, as it would surely be a great emotion.

"In these two years around with various clubs I managed to improve a lot. Now I feel lucky for the chance that Catania is giving me."

Catania are currently in 14th place in the Serie A standings with 40 points, 11 away from the relegation zone with only five matches remaining.
